Kyrié is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and life coach living between Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Sarasota, Florida. Her practice extends from her philosophical and mystical interests and her lived reality negotiating constant transformation: carving her own path in the world and alchemizing light from deep grief after the sudden death of her partner in 2022.

Her work questions our ideas of "reality" and "paradise", playing with liminality, infinity, and alchemical principles to invoke the philosophies and practices of transformation, devotion, and true nature.

artist statement

As an artist, I seek to rediscover and bring forward the human impulse that is common to all cultures and histories, that is, the human impulse to make meaning and make sense: of nature, the seasons, cycles, life, and death.

With my art I hope to bestow the viewer with the sensational awareness of being alive and in contemplation of life, its trials and its joys.

As part of my practice, I work with folks in one-on-one and in group sessions, where we reconnect individual threads to the rich fabric of life, re-establishing our bonds to our creativity, ourselves, each other, and nature and the earth.

My work is informed by my decades-long study of philosophy, alchemy, ceremony, and artisanal devotion in various cultures across the globe. I focus on fibers and clay, ancient media of tactile, slow processes that lend themselves to profound transformation.

What is called abstract
so often seems to me
the figurative of a more delicate and difficult reality,
less visible t
o the naked eye.
